Our process takes a detailed look into your life, your current situation, and where you want to be in the future. Take a look at our 9-Step Sage Plan so you know what to expect when you decide to work with us.

Sage Plan At A Glance

Step 1: Your Story

Tell us your story. Your story provides insight into how you view and want to manage your wealth, as well as how we might fit into your story and guide you along the path to success.

Step 2: Return Requirements

How much money does your money need to make? We need to know how much annual income you need when you retire, major expenses you have coming up, and how different risk and return scenarios will help you reach your goals.

Step 3: Risk Characteristics

What is your comfort level with risk? We review and discuss risk on two levels:

  • Your financial ability to take risk

  • Your willingness to accept that risk

While you may have the ability to take on high risk, you might feel averse to accepting risk on such a high level. We work to find optimal balance between your risk tolerance and return requirements.

Step 4: Income Requirements

As we dive into the “nuts and bolts” of your Sage Plan, we’ll figure out how much money you will need, how long you’ll need it for, and when you’ll need to start accessing it.

Step 5: Time Horizons

Your time horizons provide more specifics related to managing your investments. You may have many time horizons for your different goals, but what they all have in common is that your investments will be utilized to supplement or cover these future objectives.

Step 6: Income Needs

Many investment portfolios have liquidity needs attached to them for specific purchases down the road. We build anticipated future expenses into your plan.

Step 7: Taxes, Taxes, Taxes

Different accounts and entities have different tax situations. Our review and discussion of your tax situation will focus on how taxes may impact your investment portfolio decisions.

Step 8: Special Considerations

Your personal situation is entirely unique. This section of your Sage Plan reviews, discusses, and includes unique considerations that are important to you in your wealth management.

Step 9: The Home Stretch

Once we’ve reviewed everything, we put it all together for you in a document titled YOUR PLAN. We’ll review your plan periodically to ensure it’s relevant to your financial situation and ask that you let us know of any changes so we may keep it up to date.
